District Court

District Court, established by the Legislature in 1968, became a court of record in 1973 and testimony is recorded electronically by a Court Recorder. All appeals from the District Court decisions are made to Circuit Court and are considered upon the typewritten verbatim District Court transcripts or settles record; rather than by a new trial in Circuit Court.
