Home Delivered Meals
![]()
Persons 60 years of age or older who are unable to prepare their own meals and due to physical or other reasons are unable to go out for their meals, may be eligible for daily home delivered meals through the Department on Aging. Eligible persons include those who need meals temporarily but who discontinue when their health improves or circumstances change. Developmentally disabled adult children living with eligible recipients of home delivered meals may also qualify.
Hot nutritional meals are prepared in Department on Aging kitchens and delivered by volunteer drivers at lunch time to eligible persons in the County. Cold supper meals are also delivered for the second meal should it be necessary. Note: The Lenawee Health Alliance, a member of Promedica Health Care Systems, is preparing meals for those in the Morenci area.
No fee is charged for the meals, though a recommended contribution of $2.00 is encouraged to support the program.
